Sizing and fit
- What size glove does my player need?
- Position and age drive the size more than hand size does. Middle infielders usually sit between 11.25" and 11.75", outfielders between 12.5" and 13", and catcher’s mitts are measured around the circumference at roughly 31" to 34.5". Full charts are on the sizing page, and Find Your Fit gives you a starting point in about thirty seconds.
- Should I buy a glove my child can grow into?
- Usually no. A glove a player can't close costs them a season of clean reps. Fit the athlete you have now and move up when they outgrow it.
- How is a mitt different from a glove?
- Catcher's mitts and first base mitts have no individual fingers and are built around receiving rather than transferring. They're measured differently too, so a 12.5" first base mitt does not feel like a 12.5" fielding glove.
- Are softball gloves different from baseball gloves?
- Yes. A larger ball needs a deeper, wider pocket, so softball patterns run larger at the same position and fastpitch infielders often prefer closed or dual-post webs.
Custom gloves
- How do I order a custom glove?
- Start in the custom builder. You choose the pattern, size, leather, web and colors, and the finished build goes straight into checkout. Pricing and options shown in the builder are the live ones.
- How long does a custom build take?
- Custom gloves are made to order and currently take about 6–8 weeks from order to ship. We confirm the current build window with you when your order is placed.
- Can I change my spec after ordering?
- Email us as soon as possible with your order number. Before production starts we can usually adjust it; once the leather is cut we can't.
- Can custom gloves be returned?
- Custom, personalized and made-to-order BLB products are final sale once production begins. Exceptions apply for a verified manufacturing defect, arrival damage, or a finished product that does not match the approved order specifications.
Break-in and care
- How do I break in a new glove?
- Play catch with it — that's still the best method. Work the pocket and the hinge, use conditioner sparingly, and never bake or microwave a glove. Full method in the break-in guide.
- How do I keep a glove alive through a season?
- Keep it dry, store it with a ball in the pocket, and re-lace before a lace snaps in a game. See glove care and repair.
Orders, shipping and returns
- How do I check on my order?
- Every shipment includes tracking, sent to the email you used at checkout. If tracking hasn't updated or something looks wrong, email us and we'll chase it down.
- What's your return policy?
- Eligible BLB-owned in-stock products may be returned within 30 days from delivery when they are unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered and in original condition with applicable tags and packaging. Custom and partner-brand terms differ. Details on the returns page.
- What does the warranty cover?
- BLB fielding gloves, catcher’s mitts and first-base mitts have a 1-year limited warranty against verified defects in materials or workmanship. BLB batting gloves have 90-day coverage. Partner-brand terms vary. See warranty.
- How quickly do in-stock items ship?
- In-stock Bush League products typically process and ship within 1–2 business days. This is not a guaranteed delivery date. Custom and partner-product timelines are shown separately on the shipping page.
- Do you handle team and league orders?
- Yes. Tell us the roster size, colors and deadline on the team sales page and we'll come back with a plan and a timeline.
