Batting glove sizing
A batting glove should fit like skin — snug across the palm, no loose fabric at the fingertips, no pinching when you close your grip.

How to measure
Measure across the palm at the widest point, just below the knuckles, on your dominant hand. Measure in inches and round to the nearest half inch. That measurement, not your shirt size, drives the glove size.
Sizing reference
| Palm width | Typical size |
|---|---|
| Under 2.75" | Youth Small |
| 2.75" – 3" | Youth Medium |
| 3" – 3.25" | Youth Large |
| 3.25" – 3.5" | Adult Small |
| 3.5" – 3.75" | Adult Medium |
| 3.75" – 4" | Adult Large |
| Over 4" | Adult XL |
Brands differ. When you're between two sizes, size down for a tighter feel and up if you dislike pressure across the knuckles.
What a good fit feels like
- Leather is taut across the palm with no bunching.
- Fingertips reach the end without pressing hard against the seam.
- You can close a full grip on the bat without the wrist strap pulling open.
- New leather gives slightly with use, so a small amount of snugness at first is normal.
